Mommy and Baby Schedule at Ten Months

Woohoo! We finally found our new groove!  This week I am sharing with your our new schedule, a schedule that works for both baby and momma. Since having implemented the new routine, days are much smoother and everyone is much happier.  Now, with that said... life isn't perfect and every day doesn't mirror the set schedule to the proverbial "T." Let's be real, some days a new tooth wants to make its appearance or the flu wants to rear its ugly head, but for the most part we follow our routine.

Our new routine has helped me feel more myself, and what kid doesn't benefit from having a momma that is more put together? It also helps David know what to expect, leading to a calmer more well rested baby.

Preliminaries

This post will be structured around my baby and I. I am an attorney with a part-time case load, blogger and stay/work-at-home mom. Because of my limited case load, I do not go in to court frequently and can do most of my work from home. The following is a typical day at Casa Haas:

Schedule

4:30 a.m
Change a full diaper and give David his first bottle. David goes back to bed.

5:00 a.m.
I make a large cup of hot lemon water/tea/coffee (whatever that day's caffeine intake calls for) and wake up for the day. I then start my miracle morning routine which has been LIFE CHANGING. After I finish all six actions under my miracle morning, I jump in the shower and get ready for the day.

7:00 a.m.
David is up for the day and ready to play. He gets a diaper change and his first solid food for the day (usually baby cereal). I have a BIG cup of tea or coffee, as well as a light breakfast.

7:30 a.m.
Baby David plays in his play pen while I start my morning routine: unload/load dishes, load laundry in washer, clear counters, and make the bed.

8:00 a.m.
David starts getting restless in his play pen so we go down to the play room where he can crawl around safely while momma responds to emails and comments.

9:00 a.m
David starts rubbing his eyes and signaling he is ready for his first nap of the day. We head upstairs with a bottle and he goes down for about an hour to an hour and a half.

9:30 a.m.
I head to my office and work on one of the following: law firm, blog, or digital downloads. #naptimeempires

11:00 a.m.
David is up and ready for FOOD. After a quick diaper change, I feed David his second solid food for the day followed by teething wafers which he tries to feed to Winnie, our lab. I also try and eat lunch at this time so we both are seated at the kitchen table and enjoy the quality time without electronics.

12:00 p.m.
I switch the clothes to the dryer and pick-up the downstairs while David plays in his play pen or bouncer. I also take out the meat to thaw for dinner and then we both head to the play area where I play with him for at least an hour.

1:00 p.m.
David continues to play in the play room while I work on my laptop.

2:00 p.m.
David starts rubbing his eyes and signaling he is ready for his second nap of the day. We head upstairs with a bottle and he goes down for about an hour.

2:30 p.m.
It's time to Zone Clean ;) during my momma power hour. There are A TON of pins on how to zone clean. Honestly, this method of cleaning has been life changing for me. Let me know if you want a separate post on my zone cleaning routine.

3:30 p.m.
David is up and plays in his crib for 30 minutes while I finish zone cleaning.

4:00 p.m.
After a quick diaper change, I feed David his third solid food of the day. After finishing his baby food, David feeds himself his teething wafers and I take advantage of the time by folding that day's laundry.

5:00 p.m.
I start on dinner while David plays in his play pen/bouncer.

6:00 p.m.
Daddy usually gets home around this time and we all have dinner together. This is honestly my favorite time of the day. I love having us all together, catching up and spending quality time.

6:45 p.m.
We start baby David's bed time routine (bath, book, and bed).

7:30 p.m.
It's finally time for David's bedtime and he is down for the ENTIRE NIGHT (praise the Lord). Mommy and Daddy have some quality time before getting ready for bed.

9:00 p.m.
It's mommy's glorious new bed time. I never, ever thought I would be in bed by 9 p.m. and loving it! I seriously look forward to this every day. Something about a nice hot tea, comfy cozy sheets and my kindle paperwhite ahhhhh. Glorious me time ;)

That concludes a typical day in my life. Let me know if you enjoyed this kind of post or if you would like to see any other posts relating to mommyhood and life in general.

  1. Wow that is detailed. I am not sure I can jot everything down to that extent, but I shall try. I do feel I have been very lax and even if I mentally say I'm going to do something (chore and errand) at a certain time I don't do it. Maybe if I write it down I will be more accountable. I am just recently been trying to get myself to look at my planner and jot down import to do items for work. I might need to do this for my life in general. #LazyBonesNoMore
