My Planning System: Monthly, Weekly, and Daily

My Planning System: Monthly, Weekly, and Daily www.MalenaHaas.com

      Hello, loves! Hope you have had a wonderful weekend. I finally finished editing my planning system video and uploaded to YouTube earlier today. I share with you how I break down my planning on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis.

MONTHLY
      Step 1: Brain Dump

      The first thing I do is a brain dump. I get out all of the things I have to do that have been floating around in my head and put them down on paper in my Master To Do List.

       Step 2: Monthly Review and Goal Setting

      On the last Sunday of the month, I go ahead and map out my upcoming month in the inserts I have created. They have the following sections:
  • Month End Review;
  • Monthly Goals;
  • Events;
  • Appointments;
  • Brilliant Ideas;
  • Getting It;
  • Inspiration;
  • Treat Yo Self; and
  • Habit Tracking.
        The first thing I tackle is the month-end review where I look at the goals I set for the previous month as well as setting the new goals for the upcoming month. The monthly inserts are very helpful in helping me target where I came short so I can be more successful with my new goals.

      Step 3: Monthly Overview & Goal Digger Sections

      I then fill in my monthly overview. I reference iCal to see if I have any important events or appointments that need to be transferred on to paper. When I'm done with the monthly overview I fill in the Goal Digger sections:

  • Getting It;
  • Inspiration;
  • Treat Yo Self; and
  • Habit Tracking.

WEEKLY

        Step 1: Appointments & Events

        I plan my week out on Sundays and the first thing I tackle is the To Do list. I do this by looking at my must do items in the Getting It section of my monthly inserts and making sure that I list at least one thing from that page.

     Step 2: To Do, Habits, And Wish List

     I finish my weekly planning by filling in the following areas:
  • Meals;
  • Blog Schedule;
  • Appointments;
  • Inspirational Quote; and
  • Habit Tracking.
    I find it is extremely helpful to preplan my meals on Sunday as I do my grocery shopping on Mondays. This allows me to plan my grocery list efficiently saving time and money.

DAILY
     Step 1: Daily To Do

     Now that the month and week have been established, I am ready to plan my day. I usually plan my day during my miracle morning routine. I start by planning out my daily to do's. I do this by first referencing my weekly to do's and seeing if I can accomplish any of the tasks during my day. I then fill in my to do list with other tasks that need to get done that day.

   I then move on to filling in the following daily sections:
  • Mantra;
  • Today's goal;
  • Inspiration Quote;
  • Gratitude;
  • Self Care;
  • Meals; and
  • Schedule.
   I make sure to reference my weekly inserts whenever I fill out meals and my daily schedule to see if I need to work in any appointments or work around a blog or vlog post.
